Manometer Construction

This is a simple manometer for measuring air pressure, made out of a scrap of 2x4 and some vinyl tubing. It is useful for measuring air pressure in a cupola. The inlet is connected to the tuyere (far enough back no to get too hot) and "normal" constrictions are set in place (ie cupola is filled with charcoal to simulate working conditions).

A sliding scale is arranged so it can be zeroed out with the water level, and is marked in either inches or ounces. One ounce of pressure = .73".
